How phones pull us away

Do any of these moments sound like you?

Most of us know at least one of them. They don't make you a bad Muslim. They make you human, holding a device built by thousands of engineers to keep you scrolling.

Late at night

You pick up your phone in bed for “just five more minutes”. Suddenly it's 2 a.m., and you sleep through Fajr.

In a weak moment

You watch something you promised yourself you'd stopped watching. Then comes the guilt, and the feeling of being far from Allah.

When it's time to pray

Your phone reminds you it's time for Asr. You swipe it away and keep scrolling, and suddenly it's almost Maghrib.

After Ramadan

In Ramadan you read the Quran every day and felt close to Allah. A few weeks later it sits unopened, and the apps are back on top.

Aman puts your phone back on your side

  • Haram content can't reach you in a weak moment.
  • The athan comes before the feed.
  • The Quran opens where you left off.
  • Good habits happen every day, not only in Ramadan.
لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ

“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”

Az-Zumar 39:53

Protect

Protected in your weakest moment

Temptation never comes at a good time. It comes late at night, when you're tired, alone and one tap away. Aman makes sure that tap leads nowhere, and puts a verse in its place to bring your heart back.

  • Adult and gambling sites blocked everywhere in every browser and app, even in private tabs, filtered on your device
  • Social media paused YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, X, Facebook, Snapchat, plus any app you choose
  • Gambling apps blocked by default and they stay blocked even when the rest is off
  • Locks for your weaker moments turning protection off takes a wait, so a passing urge can pass
Prayer

Answer the call before the feed

No more looking up from your phone to find the prayer time has passed. Aman calls you with the athan at the right time for where you are and, if you want, a full-screen reminder you can't scroll past.

  • Times for where you are by GPS or by city, updated when you travel
  • The athan, on time respecting silent mode and Do Not Disturb
  • A full-screen reminder “It's 15:21. Take a moment for prayer.” Optional, and never during a call
  • Your apps wait while you pray with Premium prayer focus, YouTube, TikTok and the rest pause at each prayer and open again after
Quran

Come back to the Quran, and stay

We don't stop reading because we stop loving it. Life just gets louder. Aman opens exactly where you stopped and, when you're ready to memorize, repeats each ayah as often as you need and brings it back before you forget.

  • 118 translations in 48 languages plus transliteration
  • 24 reciters, verse by verse with the playing ayah highlighted
  • Memorization mode repeat each ayah, hide the text to test yourself, revise at 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 days and beyond
  • Pick up exactly where you stopped continue from the last ayah you read, and see every ayah you've read and memorized

AMAN PREMIUM

More strength for the moments you need it

Ads can't be trusted to stay halal, so Aman never shows them. Premium is how Aman stays that way: it adds more control, stronger protection and deeper insight, for those who want to go further.

Worship stays free

Prayer times, the athan, reading and listening to the Quran, and blocking adult and gambling content are free for everyone, always. No one should have to pay to protect their eyes or to pray on time.

Prayer focus

Apps pause at each prayer for as long as you choose, so the call comes before the feed.

Scheduled blocking

Decide once, not every evening. Block apps from Isha to Fajr, or any times you set.

Commitment lock

Protect yourself from your weakest moment: a longer wait, or no loosening until a date you choose.

Weekly reflection

See where your time went, what got through, and one clear step to make next week better.

Khatm planner SOON

Finish the Quran by a date you choose, with a daily portion that fits your life.

Offline surahs SOON

Keep recitations on your phone for travel, the masjid, or anywhere without signal.

Can't afford it? Pay what you can.

One small monthly price, with lower options for those who truly can't afford it, and a free option for those who can't pay at all. We trust you to be honest with yourself and with Allah.

Your struggles are between you and Allah

An app that sees what you try to block should know as little about you as possible. Aman was built that way from the start.

Stays on your device

Your habits, Quran progress, blocked sites and screen time are stored on your device, not on our servers.

No ads, no tracking

No advertising, no ad trackers, and nothing sold. Ever. You are not the product.

No account needed

Use Aman without signing in. An account is only for Premium, and you can delete it any time.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is Aman free?

Yes. Prayer times, the athan, the Quran, habits and blocking adult and gambling content are free. Premium adds extra features like prayer focus, scheduled blocking, the commitment lock and the weekly reflection. If you can't afford Premium, you can pay what you can.

When will Aman be on Android?

Soon, in shaa Allah. It's in its final stages now. Join the early access list above and we'll email you on the day it's released.

Before launch, we'll choose a small group of testers from the list. If you're selected, you'll get an email invitation with the steps to install the test version from Google Play.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Aman is on Windows now and Android is next. If you'd like Aman on iPhone, join the list and let us know, as it helps us plan.

How does website blocking work? Can you see my browsing?

On Android, Aman uses a small on-device filter (Android calls it a VPN) that only looks at the names of the websites your phone asks for, and blocks the ones on the adult, gambling or your own list. Your traffic is not sent to us, and nothing you visit is recorded on any server.

Allowed lookups are passed on to a public DNS service (Cloudflare, with Google as a backup), the same way your phone normally finds websites. They are sent encrypted, except on networks that block encrypted DNS. That service sees the website name, as your normal DNS would, but under strict policies that delete logs within a day or two. Full details.

What if I want to turn the protection off?

You always stay in control of your own phone. Aman just makes it slower to give in: turning blocking off takes a short wait, so a passing urge has time to pass. With the Premium commitment lock you can make that wait longer, or promise yourself not to loosen anything until a date.

How are prayer times calculated?

Aman uses your location (or a city you choose) and the AlAdhan prayer time service, and you can pick the calculation method and the later Asr time used by the Hanafi school in settings. Your location is only used for this and is not stored by us.

Does Aman show ads or sell my data?

Never. Ads can't be trusted to stay halal, and an app that protects you shouldn't profit from your attention. Aman is supported by Premium, not by ads or data.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion here. You don't need an account to use Aman; it's only used for Premium.
